OUR MISSION

A helping hand.
A future of your own.

Everyone deserves a meaningful opportunity to build a better future.

For some adults, the next step is a GED. For others, it’s a first résumé, a new career direction, or a connection to practical resources. OPS is being developed to help people find their next step—and keep moving.

Our vision is free, personalized guidance that builds skills, confidence, and lasting independence. We aim to work alongside existing Southern Oregon organizations, connecting people with opportunities already in their community.

Accountability. Community. Personal growth.

PATHWAYS WE’RE BUILDING

Different goals.
Meaningful next steps.

Our planned programs are designed for adults facing barriers to education, employment, and independence. Programs are in development and are not yet accepting participants.

In development

Education &
GED guidance

Find a path back to learning through GED programs, community college, training, and apprenticeships.

Explore this pathway
OPS aims to help adults understand their options and connect with existing educational providers. We would provide guidance and connections, rather than independently offering accredited instruction.
In development

Employment
readiness

Build confidence with résumé development, job applications, interview preparation, and workplace skills.

Explore this pathway
Planned support is intended for adults entering, returning to, or navigating the workforce. Practical preparation would help participants take ownership of their job search and next career step.
In development

Individual
support

Identify goals, understand barriers, and develop an achievable plan with personalized guidance.

Explore this pathway
OPS aims to work alongside each individual, with ongoing encouragement and clear next steps. Participants would build habits and confidence that support long-term independence.
In development

Community
resources

Connect with technology, learning materials, professional clothing, and existing community services.

Explore this pathway
Planned resource navigation would help adults find practical support suited to their goals. Access would depend on available resources and community connections; no inventory is currently promised.

MORE THAN A ONE-TIME APPOINTMENT

Progress happens.
Together.

We don’t want to hand someone a list and send them on their way. We want to help them find direction, follow through, and feel proud of their progress.

01

Start with the person

Listen to their goals, circumstances, and strengths. Build a plan around the individual.

02

Keep showing up

Offer continued guidance and encouragement as people work through their next steps.

03

Recognize progress

Celebrate meaningful effort and accomplishments, including the steps before a final outcome.

PLANNED PATHWAYS REWARDS

Every step forward
deserves recognition.

Concept in development

We’re exploring a milestone-based rewards program that could turn meaningful progress into additional practical resources.

AN EXAMPLE OF THE PROPOSED JOURNEY

A goal that belongs to you.

An adult might identify a goal such as earning a GED, preparing for a first job, or returning to the workforce. Guidance would help turn that goal into manageable next steps.

The proposed OPS Opportunity Store

Donated laptops, professional clothing, and educational supplies could provide extra encouragement. No points system, specific rewards, or availability has been finalized. Equitable milestones and accommodations would help recognize different starting points.

ROOTED IN COMMUNITY

Help us build more
pathways to success.

We’re starting small. With the support of community members, local businesses, and existing organizations, we can build something meaningful.

Share your time

Interested in volunteering? We’re exploring roles in education guidance, job readiness, event support, and organization.

Explore volunteer interests

Possible areas include helping with résumé preparation, sharing practical workplace knowledge, organizing donated resources, and supporting future community activities. Roles are still being developed.

Build a partnership

Businesses, educators, and nonprofits can help shape a connected network of opportunity across Southern Oregon.

Explore collaboration

We aim to collaborate on resource connections, educational opportunities, job readiness, and potential workshop space. OPS would complement existing services rather than replace them.

Building thoughtfully. Keeping you informed.

OPS is a community initiative in development in Medford. Programs, enrollment, volunteer roles, and rewards are not yet operational. This is our vision for what comes next.
